Research Tour

Mar Ilimitado collects data on board of touristic boats to monitor cetaceans since 2005. Join us and discover some of our research.
This activity is divided into 3 stages:

1. on land, we’ll explain what cetacean monitoring consists of;
2. at sea, you’ll be able to put our daily tasks into practice (if you have, bring your own camera);
3. when we return to land, we’ll analyse and deepen the techniques of photo-identification.

With this activity, you’ll be able to understand how this information collection is useful for getting to know the cetaceans of our coast better, as well as the positive impact it has on conservation.
